Representation for the narration of intangible culture
ABOUT US
GRAF_I is a project developed by a group of young Italian researchers working in the Representation and Drawing disciplinary group. It involves the following institutes:
- University of L’Aquila
- Polytechnic University of Bari
- Mediterranean University of Reggio Calabria
- Sapienza University of Rome
- University of Sassari
In today’s fast-paced and dynamic historical context, when everything can be represented and disseminated instantaneously, the investigation of representation techniques for knowledge, valorisation, and communication becomes a pivotal theme in the studies about this topic.
Drawing, in its generative sense, as construction, analysis of images and models, representation, and communication can be a instrument through which we can take care of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The project is intended to promote research that considers the use of graphical language techniques as instruments for taking care of intangible heritage: Analogue Graphics (manual drawing), Digital Graphics (digital drawing), Photo-Graphs (photography).
